In Transit

The photographic series named “In Transit”, from 2014 presents visible fluxs from the Guingamp train station (town from Brittany, in the west of France) : a train arrives, passengers get out, meet their relatives or say goodbye and then the train continues its way… : events that happens in every train station across the world.

These shots are not like our usual vision which is around 1,60m : the camera was set directly on the ground. The trains looks like they are gigantic which highlights their parade shown by motion blur.

This phenomenon happens when the time of the photographic capture is slower than the speed of the subject. The goal here is to catch the different passages and transfers in this train station, the use of long time pose is done on purpose.
